My Two Cents! - JULY 09

"My Two Cents!" is a place to speak your mind about what troubles (and inspires) you about Florida's juvenile justice system and the Department of Juvenile Justice, in particular.

On the other hand, if you have a complaint and you want Justice4Kids to help, then go to "Just the Facts!"

Just the Facts! – JULY 09

If you want Justice4Kids to help you pursue a complaint, post right here! But there's a catch: If you believe your complaint is important and you want J4K to help you, then your message must answer these three questions:

1. Where did it happen? (state the name of the facility)
2. When did it happen? (month, day and year)
3. What happened? (give as much detail as you know; include names if possible)

If you do not answer these questions, then J4K will not help you and will remove your message.

If you want to try to make a difference, you must speak out. If you believe that it is too risky to post on the blog, then here are some options. Use a pay phone (for anonymity) and call:

1. DJJ Central Communications Center hotline: (800) 355-2280
2. Mary Eubanks, DJJ Inspector General: (850) 921-6344
3. Frank Peterman, DJJ Secretary: (850) 210-3815 (cell phone)
4. Office of the Governor Whistle-Blower Hotline: (800) 543-5353
5. Melinda Miquel, Chief Inspector General, Office of the Governor: (850) 922-4637

Or, send a J4K Incident Form to Cathy Corry at Justice4Kids.org.

In this section, it’s Just the Facts!
