j4k readers, djj needs your help. It looks like the new administration plans to let providers run their "business" without any real oversight or accountability. That would be tragic for the youth in these places.
Yep. The transition report recommends getting rid of QA. Not a really big loss really. Everyone should take a look at the report. Written by private providers for private providers;)
On another note does anyone know what the private providers pay. I know White Foundation starts their case mgrs off between 28-32K. Anyone know what Eckerd or anyone else pays?
It appears that the Scott and Walters administration will not put a priority on accountability with the recommendation to eliminate QA. It's going to be a very lucrative four years for the private providers and very bad for Florida's youth. Without the oversight, there is going to be massive fraud and falsification to increase the bottom line. A sad day in Florida.
when will ana sanchez been shown the door behind frankie peterman. he brought her in the agency and paid her ridiculus sums for nothing and not showing up for work. she was promoted to legislative director she needs to go.
More abuse will happen in DJJ facilities that is for sure!!
Let's put it this way about pay and private companies. You will get significantly less than what DJJ pays its state employees. This is a fact. This is how we create jobs. Privatize it, lower pay so you can hire more. I moving back north. Florida is about to get ugly.

Lots of facilities have family members working together. These people are protected while others are cheated out of pay and bonuses. Many of these places never tell you what bonues are based on and favored employees get more. Now I bet bonuses will end with Scott in office. He just wants people to work and does not care if they make enough to feed their families.
A DJJ Probation Officer Supervisor, working in Circuit 7, Volusia County, worked her son's juvenile case and falsified records. This has been reported to the DJJ Inspector General's Office, however nothing has been done. She'll probably get a promotion and more money for her efforts.

Everyone, we need to put togother a succinct response to the Transition report/team, outlining point b point why they are on the wrong course. They obviously dont understand the ACA--its "review" are a joke--it s more of a social fraternity than anything else. When youa re on areview, you collet no eviddence--just open and close the files and sign your name that they passed. We have had horrible progras at DJJ that were ACA certififed. The standards dont even apply. It will take DJJ back 50 years. I wonder if this is where John Criswell is looking next to feather his nest as he has had such a cozy and lucrative relationship with ACA--after he leaves his position as safety officer, of course. What is he in now, his 40th year? Hmmm. Wonder what he did to get rewarded with such a deal?

Na still same bunch of weasels in place. Ms. Walters hasn't said anything internally so I don't even know if she has started yet. Sexy Rexy, Fat Julia and the rest of Peterman's flunkies are still in place. Christy Daly got the interim tag removed from the Chief of Staff position. Don't know much about her.
